Ayurveda originated in ancient India about 5,000 years ago and is a traditional medicine, one of the world’s three largest traditional medicine certified by WHO (World Health Organization).
It is said that it was transmitted to Sri Lanka together with Buddhism from South India.
In Sri Lanka there is a government agency of Ayurveda and you can acquire the doctor’s national qualification by completing a six-year course at the university’s medical department. It is said that Ayurveda of Sri Lanka faithfully inherits the ancient shapes because it puts emphasis on the transfer of knowledge and technology as a country.
In Ayurveda, three energies of “Vatha (energy related to movement and circulation)”, “Pitha (energy related to blood circulation)” and “Kapha (energy forming body tissue)” are classified as “constitution” , that maintaining the balance in a good form is a condition of ‘health’.
Ayurveda is the knowledge for knowing the constitution of himself, facing his own body, and for people to live healthy life.
In Exserendib Ayurveda, under the precise diagnosis and management of a nationally qualified doctor, we provide treatment according to constitution and symptoms.
